Mission Clubs

The games they love. The skills you want.

Roblox, Minecraft, and drones — the things your kid already begs to play, turned into guided, supervised programs where they build real skills instead of just burning screen time.

We Get It

You’re not against gaming. You’re against wasted time.

Every parent knows the pull these games have. Your kid could spend all day in Roblox or Minecraft — and a part of you wonders if any of it is doing them any good, or who they’re talking to while they play.

Here’s the thing: the games aren’t the problem. Unstructured, unsupervised screen time is. The exact same games that eat hours at home become powerful learning tools when there’s a curriculum, a trained instructor, and a goal behind every session.

That’s what Mission Clubs are. We take what your kid is already obsessed with and turn it into game design, coding, problem-solving, and teamwork — in a safe, in-person setting where you always know exactly what they’re doing.

Club Options

Three clubs. One safe place to play.

Each club meets in person at The Academy, runs on closed and supervised systems, and is built around a real skill progression — not just free play.

Roblox Studio

Game Design & Animation

Agents move beyond playing games and into building them. Using Roblox Studio, students design immersive worlds, script interactive experiences, and animate custom characters.

  • Game mechanics & interactive scripting
  • 3D modeling & world building
  • Character animation & movement design
  • Publishing & testing playable experiences

Ideal for students who love creativity, storytelling, coding, and digital design.

Structured Team Challenges

Minecraft ESports transforms gameplay into strategy. This is not free play — it’s structured, competitive, and mission-based. Agents work in teams on time-based builds, survival strategy, and competitive matches.

  • Strategic thinking & tactical planning
  • Resource management & problem-solving
  • Engineering with Redstone & in-game systems
  • Competitive gameplay discipline

Ideal for students who thrive in team environments, love competition, and enjoy strategic challenges.

  • Spatial awareness & aerial navigation
  • Mission planning & execution
  • Drone safety protocols & regulations

How We Keep It Safe

Screen time you can actually feel good about.

The difference between a Mission Club and your kid gaming alone in their room comes down to three things.

Closed & Supervised

Every club runs on private, moderated servers and systems. No random online players, no open chat with strangers, no unsupervised corners of the internet. Just your kid and their group, with an instructor in the room the whole time.

Guided, Not Just Allowed

Every session is skill-focused with a real instructor leading it. Kids aren’t handed a screen and left alone — they’re coached through projects, challenges, and goals that turn play into genuine learning.

Real Outcomes

Kids walk away with something to show for it: a published Roblox game, an Esports trophy, a drone certification. Screen time becomes a portfolio — proof of skills built, not hours lost.

Parent FAQ

The questions every parent asks.

Isn’t this just more screen time?
It’s the opposite of the screen time you’re worried about. Mission Clubs are structured, instructor-led, and goal-driven. Instead of passively consuming games alone, kids actively build, compete, and create — developing coding, design, engineering, and teamwork skills. It’s the difference between watching basketball and being coached on a team.
Who is my child interacting with online?
Only their club group and their instructor. All clubs run on closed, private, moderated servers and systems. There’s no open chat with strangers and no random online players. An instructor is present and supervising for the entire session.
What ages are the clubs for?
Mission Clubs are designed for elementary and middle school students. Groups are organized by age and skill level so younger kids aren’t thrown in with older ones. Contact us with your child’s age and we’ll point you to the right fit.
Does my child need to be good at gaming already?
Not at all. Whether they’re a Roblox obsessive or have never built a thing in Minecraft, instructors meet each student where they are. The clubs are about learning and progression, not pre-existing skill.
Do they need their own equipment or accounts?
No. All equipment, devices, drones, and software are provided at The Academy. Your child just needs to show up ready to build.
How often do clubs meet, and where?
Clubs meet in person at The Academy in downtown Martinsburg on a regular weekly schedule. Reach out and we’ll share current club days, times, and openings.

Let them play. The right way.

Give your kid the games they love in a place you can trust. Explore club options or reach out with any questions — we’re happy to walk you through how it all works.
