The Code Agents pathway is structured in six levels, grouped into three phases. Students advance at their own pace as they master each skill set.

Levels 1 – 2

Learning with Games

Recruit Coders learn core coding concepts and build projects to complete missions using block-based environments. The foundations: logic, sequencing, debugging.

Writing Script

Agents step up to real programming languages. They build games, animations, and applications while learning script-based syntax and problem decomposition.

Parent FAQ

Common questions.

What ages and grades does Code Agents serve?
Grades 3 through 8 — typically ages 8 to 14. The six-level structure means a 3rd grader and an 8th grader can both be in the program, working on appropriately challenging material at their own level.
Does my child need prior coding experience?
Nope. Level 1 Recruit Coders start with block-based coding — no typing or syntax required. Students who already know some coding are placed at the right level based on a brief skills check.
How does the level system work?
There are six levels grouped into three phases: Levels 1–2 use block-based environments (SCRATCH, MakeCode, Spike Prime). Levels 3–4 move into script languages (Python, Lua, JavaScript). Levels 5–6 ship original projects using professional tools (GameMaker, Unity, WordPress).
How long does it take to complete a level?
Every Agent moves at their own pace. Some Agents fly through a level in a few months; others take a full year to fully master the skills. Mastery, not speed, drives promotion.
Are devices and software included?
Yes. All hardware, software licenses, and materials are provided at The Academy. Your child just needs to show up.
What happens after Level 6?
Elite Code Agents who reach high school graduate into the STEM Operatives program — our advanced 9–12 track covering AP Computer Science Principles, automation, and applied robotics.
