An educational services company committed to empowering and inspiring the next generation of STEM innovators — through programs at The Academy in Martinsburg, WV, and partnerships with local and national nonprofits.
Three principles shape every program we run — what we teach, where we teach it, and the kind of thinker each student becomes along the way.
We equip students with the technical skills and the problem-solving habits they’ll lean on in school, in college, and in whatever they build next.
We’re building the place this region’s students should be sending their kids — a serious local STEM destination with national-quality programming.
The Academy on King Street isn’t a classroom we rent. It’s a purpose-built MakerSpace with the tools, the team, and the culture to support every program we run.
Every STEMForce program is built around a single belief: kids learn to solve problems by actually solving problems. Not memorizing them. Not watching someone else solve them. Doing them.
That means hands-on projects from day one, real tools, and a curriculum that scales with each student — from kindergarteners snapping their first LEGO mechanisms together to high schoolers writing production code and programming collaborative robots.
The goal isn’t just to teach STEM. It’s to develop the curiosity, the resilience, and the technical fluency students need to keep teaching themselves long after they leave our classrooms.
The Academy at 213 W. King Street in downtown Martinsburg is purpose-built for the kind of learning STEMForce delivers — robotics workstations, soldering benches, computers loaded with the same tools used by professional developers, and the open floor space for hands-on team projects.
It’s small on purpose. Small enough that instructors know every student’s name and where they are in their progression. Big enough to host multi-day camps, evening clubs, and the competition robotics team.
Every STEMForce program — from K-2 MiniMakers to 9-12 STEM Operatives — is anchored in the same three pillars.
Every concept is taught by building something with it. Theory gets reinforced by application — not the other way around.
Small groups, customized pacing. Every student moves at the speed that fits them — mastery first, milestones second.
Collaborative projects, mentorship-style instruction, and a community of students who push each other to ship work they’re proud of.
